Maple Syrup Wool Cones are used during the last step of producing maple syrup: pour your boiled syrup through the cone to sift any debris from the syrup. These filters can be reused and washed with hot water. The filters should not lose fibers during the process unless the filter has been brushed and fibers are on the outside surface. These filters have been autoclaved, are made of wool and are available in 1, 5 and 8 quarts. The 5 quart size measures 17 3/4" tall (45.1 cm) and has an approximate outer diameter of 11 3/8" (28.9 cm) and the 8 quart size measures 21 1/2" tall (54.6 cm) and has an approximate outer diameter of 12 3/16" (31.0 cm).
